See Program Information for additional details and Eligibility for full requirements. Students may be funded for up to two years.

There are three parts to complete:

- The supplemental application
- Securing letters of support and mentorship from your PI that they submit to CBP
- Short letter of endorsement from proposed cross-trainer (minimum a short paragraph; forwarded emails or in PDF format acceptable)
2024 CBP T32 Fellowship Application

Questions? Please reach out to Alex Lopez, CBP Program Coordinator (ajlo@ucdavis.edu)
Please be sure to note: There is a requirement for PIs to provide a statement of mentorship and can be included as a part of the support letter or separate. The PI should speak to their mentorship activities and approach in general and any mentorship training that took place during the previous academic year. Supporting letters/statements of mentorship from a PI can be sent directly to Alex Lopez via email (ajlo@ucdavis.edu) or PIs can submit letters here as well.
The deadline for all completed applications and letters is
Monday, July 8, 2024 (priority deadline) and final deadline is Friday, July 12, 2024 at 11:59 PM.
Faculty
New faculty who wish to participate in the CBP may submit their CV along with an application to our Staff Coordinator. The Executive Committee will vote for trainer admission weighing the applicant's research program, contribution to the CBP and number of current trainers. The criteria for membership are: (1) the faculty candidate must be a member in good standing of one of the five source graduate groups (see Program Information); (2) this individual must have an active and productive research program at the chemistry/biology interface; and (3) sufficient extramural support must be available to guarantee a productive research environment.
NOTE: Membership to the CBP is not a prerequisite for serving as a cross-training lab PI to a student trainee.
